Dies ist eine alte Version des Dokuments!
In the year 2000 switched from Windows to the Linux operating system. The first steps weren't always easy, but the beginner friendly Suse distribution (now Opensuse) helped me.
In the meantime I gave up Suse in favor of (the less beginner friendly) Slackware Linux and got what I wanted: A stable, secure, open and well documented operation system. It runs well out of the box, but if I want to or have to, I can get everything under my control.
By the time I could gather some experiences which I wrote down on this pages. This is my meager attempt to give something back to the open source community.
